August started out with more of the seemingly persistent rain which has occurred throughout the summer of 2015. There were several rain events including one with heavy rain and very high winds. Towards the middle of August, the weather turned more typically dry.
The end of August brought the first tastes of fall, with a week of dry pleasant days and cool clear nights. This week of cool temperatures was followed by a blast of summer with more July-like heat and August humidity.
