November 2015

Weather in Reily, Ohio for the month of November, 2015 had a expected downward trend in temperature, but there did not seem to be as many extreme lows as is typical.  The month ended with a stretch of very moderate temperatures.
There was quite a bit of rain through November with it being fairly spread out through the month.  One rain storm brought a period of very high winds.

October 2015

October, 2015 in Reily, Ohio had the usual ups and downs in temperature, but it was probably more extreme, and in the up direction.  With the exception of a not atypical cool down in the middle of the month, the temperature was very warm.  Most of the end of the month had almost summer-like heat.
October in Southwest Ohio is often dry and 2015 was no exception until the end of the month brought a ferociously wet storm dropping approximately four inches of rain.

September 2015

September, 2015 in Reily, Ohio was that typical late summer weather that makes SW Ohio so nice.  Most of the month was dry and sunny.  September started out with late summer's heat, before beginning the transition to more fall-like weather.
There was little rain and little wind to speak of which was a nice change over what has been a fairly wet summer.

August 2015

August started out with more of the seemingly persistent rain which has occurred throughout the summer of 2015.  There were several rain events including one with heavy rain and very high winds. Towards the middle of August, the weather turned more typically dry.
The end of August brought the first tastes of fall, with a week of dry pleasant days and cool clear nights.  This week of cool temperatures was followed by a blast of summer with more July-like heat and August humidity.

July, 2015

Southwest Ohio was wet in July.  Reily got about five inches, depending on where it was measured, but some areas in the general region got much more than that.  There were near daily threats of rain, especially early in the month.  This precipitous weather continued June's relative wetness.
Rain was a little less frequent later in the month, but there was ample heat and humidity to make things somewhat unpleasant.

June, 2015

June, 2015 in Reily, Ohio was wet.  The area got just under 10 inches of rain which is well more than twice what should be expected for June in Southwest Ohio.  There were, of course, some decent days, but most of the month had daily threats of rain.  It was also quite hot and humid.  The excessive rain was caused by multiple fronts that stalled out near the area.  Areas to the north (Northern Ohio/Indiana) and west (Oklahoma, Texas) got even more precipitation, in some cases causing significant flooding.

May, 2015

May, 2015 in Reily, Ohio moved firmly from spring into summer.  The month started out warm with a couple cool spells during the month.  There were many threats of rain throughout the month, but the actual amount of rain was much less than was typical.  Less than 1.5 inches of measurable rain were actually recorded in Reily Township.  There were many cloudless mornings during the month which gave way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon heat of the day.

April, 2015

2015 had a fairly typical April in Reily, Ohio.  Temperatures were a mix of warm and cold with rain interspersed throughout the month.  Average temperatures didn't rise very much through the month due to a somewhat warm beginning and middle of the month.  As is typical for spring in Southwest Ohio, some of the rain events did come with gusty winds.

March, 2015

March came in with the tail end of a cold and blustery winter.  The month started with a significant amount of snow on the ground and a brief, but intense, cold snap.  Over the beginning of the month, the snow steadily melted as average temperatures rose.
Toward the end of the month, it was looking more like spring with mostly warmer temperatures and more threats of rain.

February, 2015

February in Reily, Ohio started out typical SW Ohio winter.  Cold and lots of ice and mud.  Temperatures fluctuated normally for February, with a couple really cold snaps.  The month of February ended with three significant snow events.  After a winter thus far without very much snow, these were significant; the only other heavy snow had been all the way back in November.

January, 2015

Weather in Reily, Ohio during January, 2015 was fairly typical for this time of year.  There was a heavy rain event early in the month followed by some low temperatures.  Precipitation during the rest of the month was mostly rain, but there was some snow as well.
Temperature and wind had the typical ups and downs, keeping things muddy and slightly icy for most of the month.

December 2014

Weather during December, 2014 in Reily Ohio was fairly typical with cold days, a considerable amount of rain and a little bit of frozen precipitation in the form of sleet, flurries and snow.
For most of the month, the weather was cold and wet enough that everything stayed somewhat icy and muddy.  However there were a few news days as well.

December brings the end of the year.  The graph below shows the temperature for the entire year.  These data along with the video showing the weather time lapse in Reily, Ohio for the whole year are a reminder of how brutally cold and snowy last winter was, but also a reminder of the pleasant summer that occurred and what can be looked forward to soon enough.
