March 2013 in Southwest Ohio could be characterized as cold, much colder than normal. Typically average temperatures begin to rise significantly in March, but the overall trend was nearly flat. A late March snow storm occurred which was very atypical. It dropped several inches of very wet snow, making a mess of travel. Typical of late snow storms, the snow did not last very long.
