June 2013

At the end of May, my weather station was in Haywood, CA for warranty repair due to a faulty barometric sensor.  It was returned in perfect working order within a reasonable amount of time and was back up an running within an hour of finding it on my doorstep.  I again pilfered weather data from a nearby station for the time it was offline.

June 2013 in Reily was wetter than average.  Intellicast's data says average rainfall for June should be around four inches and the area received over five inches.  Much of the end of the month has been socked in a pattern of cloudy weather with a daily threat of rain, a pattern more consistent with late spring which persists as of this writing.
Temperatures only warmed marginally in June (requiring little use of home air conditioning - my electric bill was pleasantly low).  Overnight winds were typically summer low.  While many areas of the country received an overabundance of severe weather in June, SW Ohio had very few severe weather warnings and even fewer events.
